TURKESSA BLITCH

Program Director

Turkessa C. Blitch is the Program Director for The Heartbeat Foundation Organization Inc..
Turkessa has over twenty years of experience with a Fortune 500 financial institution
where she has held various titles. She has managed and led teams within the Fraud
and Claims space for the company’s Credit Card/Debit Card divisions. She also
served as a Corporate Instructor. Her duties included leading training initiatives
and curriculum build projects to assist in maintaining learning abilities amongst the
employees and leaders within the company. Currently, she serves as an
Assistant Vice President, and Senior Operations Analyst supporting the Foreign Cashletter
Operations team with the company. In this role, she is responsible for maintaining,
updating, and writing over 19,000 procedures and the education of the associates within
the division.
As Program Director for the Heartbeat Foundation, Turkessa works with the board and
other members of the community to bring forth rewarding educational programs to help
foster and at-risk children gain the tools and abilities to be successful in all efforts that
they put forth. These programs are built to help the children sustain meaningful
relationships and to help them secure a better life for themselves. Turkessa is an avid
volunteer as she serves as a Tri-Chair for the Military Support Assistance Group with
her company supporting the Veterans, Active Duty, and families of those in the military.
She's a Tri-Chair for the Financial Literacy Group, which helps to aid the community
with Better Money Habits. She recently was awarded the Presidential Award for
Volunteerism as she volunteered over 250+ hours last year for different causes. The
biggest being a Girl Scouts Troop Leader for her daughter's Girls Scout troop based out
of Clarkston Georgia.
Recent, graduate of the University of Arizona Global Campus with a
degree in Psychology, currently going for her Masters in Human Services. She is
a Court Appointed Specialist Advocate for Dekalb County’s DFCS office, serving as an
advocate for Foster Children who are currently in foster care for the county.

In her free time, besides volunteering, Turkessa spends time with her twelve-year-old daughter Kyleigh, and mother Robin. She loves to travel and to thrift shop when
she has the time.
